General Information
Nestled in the picturesque village of Great Hallingbury, just a stone's throw from Bishop's Stortford and a convenient five minute drive from Stansted Airport, this classic Tudor-style Manor Hotel is currently undergoing a million pound refurbishment programme and once finished will offer a selection of suites, deluxe and standard bedrooms.
Guests who know Great Hallingbury Manor will find the hotel will keep its charm but will be adding a new lakeside restaurant and bar with aspirations to become one of the finest dining locations in the area. During the hotels refurbishment, we are offering our guests a bed and breakfast facility.
Our guest rooms offer a peaceful getaway for romantic couples and a comfortable respite for business travellers looking to escape the sterile world of corporate travel.
All rooms feature comfortable beds and scenic views of the property and surrounding area. Even though we are updating the manor we will make every effort not to disturb you. Each room is en-suite, has a television and features tea & coffee making facilities. Double, Single & Twin rooms are available.
A full English breakfast is included, served in The Oak Room, between 7:30 - 9:30am, and a Continental breakfast is available for those leaving early.
With new buildings and additional wings, Great Hallingbury Manor will be proud to offer 32 of the finest rooms available in the area by autumn 2007.
Eco Friendly Hotel
In this era, caring about our environment is a tremendously important part of life. With that in mind, Great Hallingbury Manor is proud to play its eco-friendly part in every current aspect and future development on the property.
The Manor will be installing air-source heating technology, which harnesses the surrounding air and, using a split system heat pump, converts it to heat. At optimum levels, air-source heating can deliver up to three times more energy than it consumes. Water usage will also be reduced through aqua-recycling. And, of course, environmentally friendly products will be used in rooms, restaurants and kitchens throughout the hotel.
Great Hallingbury Manor will proudly be a carbon neutral hotel. Just imagine the fantastic impression you will give your business associates and clients when you invite them to meet or dine in an establishment that cares about the environment like we do.

Free Parking is available for the first 3 days, after which an additional daily charge (From £4.00) will be charged. Parking is available for hotel guests only. Stansted Airport parking laws apply.
Business Travel
Located just moments away from the M11, A10 and Stansted Airport, Great Hallingbury Manor is a prime location for business travellers and conference meetings. Our Oak Room can hold 40 people (theatre-style) or 25 (board-room style). Very large conference facilities can be arranged, with private transfer if required, just down the road at a special conference center. We will also offer two private rooms for smaller meetings.
Despite the prime location, Great Hallingbury Manor manages to avoid the sterility of most airport hotels, surrounding guests with lush green countryside, charm and character.
We will offer all the standard business meeting requirements - flip charts, projectors and screens, high speed internet access etc. Car parking packages, airport transfers, meet & greet services. We can arrange it all.

Weddings
The idyllic setting for your wedding day, the newly renovated Great Hallingbury Manor will be licensed for civil ceremonies by September. Imagine enjoying your rehearsal dinner or wedding breakfast in our fine dining restaurant overlooking the lake and swan sanctuary. We will be offering the services of expert wedding coordinators, who can arrange everything from transport to music, from flowers to cake. Picture that perfect day, complete with the wedding reception of your dreams inside our magnificent garden marquee, which holds up to 200 guests.
We still have Winter dates available at a reduced rate and, as we are newly opening, we are one of the very few venues that still offer the most desired weekend dates in the summer of 2008. We can also offer discounted weekday weddings.
