Cheap no frills hotel. All staff helpful and friendly . Breakfast was a little disappointing with limited choices and finished at 9.30am on the dot.. Little early for a holiday. Would use again if I was on a budget. Cheers

Very happy with the accommodation and overall standard. My only gripe was our room was over the kitchen extractor fan which was a bit noisy but that's a minor gripe. Would I stay there again, most definitely yes.

Situated at the coastel road leading to St. Helier. The Hotel and the beach is partet by the road. The room was very beautiful. The staff was extraordinary friendly and helpful. You have to order your breakfast eggs, it lasted a little bit long to get them but it are really made fresh. It is a pity that internet connection doesn't work in the room, but at the lobby the connection was ok. The dinner in the restaurant was to recommend. Lunch we didn't try. Over all a pleasant stay for an affordable rate. We are a couple about 60 years.

Although we do not spend our Christmas every year at the Shakespeare this was our second occasion. Like on the first occasion, the accommodation, Staff and Management were first class and they ensured that our three day stay over the holiday period was really good. I can find not fault with this hotel.

We had a very pleasant, restful and reinvigorating week at the Shakespeare. We were made comfortable and welcome. The food was excellent. The attention of all staff was also excellent - reception, restaurant and domestic -all helped to make it a good experience. Previously we had stayed in town for holidays in recent years, but thought that we would have a change this year. We are glad that we chose the Shakespeare and would not hesitate to come again in the future.

Recently came to Jersey for a wedding and stayed at the Shakespeare, the staff excellent all round and extremely helpful. The food wad a little disappointing, fish and steak both over cooked! However I'd recommend it to all - The shakespeare represents good value for money, a loveley beach side hotel.

A great little hotel whose biggest asset is it's staff; without exception they are polite, efficient and helpful and do their utmost to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We were on b & b but ate in the Cafe South each night; breakfasts and dinners were excellent (although you do need a new toaster at breakfast as the one there only toasts one side and takes forever!). I love the sun terrace at the front of the hotel and we were fortunate enough to be able to use it a couple of times whilst there ! Our second time here and we were very impressed as we were last time. Only down sides; our bathroom was rather cramped (room 32) so that you had to sit at a slight angle when using the loo ! Not a huge problem for me but my mother who has various health problems did find it a little bit of a struggle. Also the walls are fairly thin and you could often hear activity in the other rooms ! However we were not kept awake at night by it so that's good !

We stayed this hotel for 3 nights for our 1st wedding anniversary. The room (sea view room #29) was not so big, but it is only a very minor matter if one doesn't carry a huge suitcase. The best part of this room is a beatiful view from a window. We could enjoy looking at the rising sun by lying down on a bed every morning. A cute visitor, herring gull, came to greet us through the window. Bath tub might be bit small for some people. (No problem for 155cm tall female, but 170cm tall male.) We also enjoyed the delicious food in hotel restaurant. Staff were helpful for choosing a right wine for our dinner. Definitely sure we will stay this hotel again on our next visit to Jersey. Lacto-ovo-vegetarian friendly.
