We would recommend the balcony rooms. It is clean and tidy with all you need for a great holiday; it has a pool and super outside seating space with amazing sea views. The staff cannot do enough for you, they were always helpful and courteous. Breakfast excellent. Great bus service almost outside taking you to St Helier, St Brelades Bay, St Aubins Bay and further afield. We will go back.

General Information

The 3 Star Highlands Hotel is in one of Jersey's finest locations for breathtaking views. The famous La Corbiere lighthouse with unspoilt coves and bays is just a short walk away. The hotel is quiet, peaceful and close to miles of clean, golden, sandy beaches.

The hotel benefits from a south-facing sun terrace for al fresco dining, a bar and sun lounge with views over the bay and a heated swimming pool for a relaxing swim. This is the place to enjoy that well-deserved holiday.

The hotel has undergone a large amount of refurbishment. What has not changed is the wonderful location and spectacular views that has been synonymous with the Highlands Hotel.

Restaurant

The hotel offers a varied restaurant menu.  In the morning there are English or Continental breakfasts and during the day you can enjoy a selection of refreshments, light lunches and snacks.

Leisure Activities

The beautiful island of Jersey is perfect for many of the leisure activities our guests are interested in. Our staff have close links with the specialist leisure companies on the island and together they can tailor activities to satisfy your own personal requirements.

What about trying something new whilst you are with us? Try out blokarting or fishing or just listen to the Dawn Chorus, we are situated at a SSI protected area for nature and bronze age history. Highlands Hotel will be pleased to advise where your interests can be met.

Attractions

The famous Corbiere lighthouse is one of the most photographed buildings in Jersey. Completed in 1874 and the first such structure in the British Isles to be built entirely from reinforced concrete rather than traditional stone blockwork, it is fairly easy to see up close when the tide is out.

Exactly what I wanted and expected. It is isolated in terms of shops etc. but that also has advantages in terms of peace and quiet! Great for walks especially if you like cliff tops.

The hotel was perfect in every sense. The staff were friendly and helpful from our arrival. The room with balcony and sea view was idyllic. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast staff were very attentive. The hotel is in a beautiful setting away from the hustle and bustle of St Helier. Easy access to and from the airport if you are hiring a car. Have been to Jersey and Guernsey many times and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. A big thank you to all concerned. Alan and Rosemary.

From the time I arrived the staff were very caring and supportive. As the week progressed and there were more guests arriving their attention remained the same. As a solo holiday maker they took time to inquire what were my daily plans and then remembered to ask me on my return. They even made suggestions of places I might be interested in visiting. I had a reserved table in the dining room which had an amazing view over the sea towards France. The food was very good and they took trouble to ensure that my dietary requirements were met at each meal. The location, ethos and decor of the hotel were beyond my expectations when planning the holiday.

This was my fourth visit in a row. A lot of the staff had changed but the service was as good as ever. Upgraded to a double room which was lovely. The food was as good as always with lots of choice on the menu. Took my son, Rob and his wife Nikki for their first visit and they loved it as much as I do. They loved the location, the peace and quiet and took me to see all the events and experiences that I missed out on during my previous visits. Like me they loved all the long walks and the beaches. We were all shattered at the end but considerably fitter for the experience. Thanks to Ingrid and the rest of the staff, Nick and Katherine on reception and all the restaurant staff, efficient, friendly and chatty. I will be back next year.

My husband, son and I had a comfortable stay at Highlands Hotel. The location is stunning. The rooms (two double/twin) were small but adequate and the beds comfy. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the cooked breakfast was good. Having said that, the cold part of the breakfast could have been better - the only fruit options to put with the natural yogurt were prunes and (tinned) grapefruit and no additional hot water came with the tea. The hotel has a slightly 'tired' air to it and some maintenance is needed in places (our bathroom ceiling had a large stain on it from a leak.) Also the gardens could do with some tlc. Having not stayed anywhere else in Jersey I can only assume that the high cost is due to demand at peak season - it was the best price I could find for that area. I would consider another visit if the price was cheaper/out of season.

We have just enjoyed a wonderful holiday at the Highlands Hotel. Our most valued memory is perhaps at the moment of arrival. We were shown to the sun terrace and were offered a glass of champagne. The view was outstanding. The hotel's cliff-top location is exceptional with breath-taking views over the sea and with immediate access to the Jersey Coastal Path. The staff who served us in the dining room, bar and reception were very friendly and helpful. We can also recommend the food which was of a very good standard. We will return.

The hotel is a little way out but if you want a relaxing holiday this is definitely the place to book. If you don't have a car, there is an excellent bus service which picks up near the hotel and you can get to wherever you want very easily. In fact the bus rides are a good way of seeing the island! Book a room with a balcony and sea views if you can, the views are absolutely amazing. Can't recommend it enough, such a beautiful place to stay.
