RESERVATIONS
When a booking is made a booking confirmation is immediately transmitted to the
hotel by a combination of e-mail and fax. Hotels also have access to the HOL system
and can retrieve booking reports through the Web.
CREDIT CARD SECURITY
HOL operates a secure server using 128 SSL encryption technology, thus ensuring
credit cards are totally safe from misuse. Credit card details are required to secure
a reservation by paying the required deposit. Each hotels booking terms and conditions
are printed clearly on the second screen of the booking process and also on the
booking confirmation.
Our first online booking system was created way back in 1995 with the aim of allowing
hotels to benefit from online reservations directly through their own web sites
without any third party branding.
In order to keep up to date with changes in the hotel industry our system has recently
undergone a complete re-build to adjust to the latest shifts in the industry; our
system now boasts new features such as host-to-host XML availability and booking
facilities and the inclusion of the highest levels of security.
The HOL system is suitable for all types
of accommodation, including major hotel groups and independent hotels, guest houses
and motels.
PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURITY
HOL will not use or pass on your personal details, including e-mail address to any
companies or individuals, other than the property with which the user has made a
booking.

to work for a large hotel chain.
- Realtime Availability, our system will take bookings on your behalf 24 hours
a day 7 days a week!
- Reporting, each hotel or group has access to a plethora of reporting functionality.
- Notification, our system will notify you of each booking by a variety of
means including; email, fax and sms/text message direct to your mobile phone!
- Brochure Facility, your hotel can choose to display a link to a real-time
version of their hotel brochure offering the best photographs and information about
their property to aid in its saleability.
As well as the above features new tools and features are being added continuously!
PAYMENT OF COMMISSIONS
All hotels agree to pay their normal level of commission to travel agents, tour
operator and wholesalers booking on their clients' behalf using the HOL system.
HOL is not responsible for paying agents commission, as the contract is not with
HOL rather the hotel booked and the agency itself.
Should we receive persistent reports of failure to pay commission then we will remove
hotels from our service.
CONTRACTS
Where contracts exist with the hotel the operator/wholesaler will be able to access
those rates and allotments and make reservations according to their agreed contracts
with each hotel.
Hotels are responsible for keeping the contract current and ensuring the necessary
availability, allotments, rates and special offers are featured on the HOL reservation
system.
Any amendments to rates, contracts, special offers or alterations to hotel facilities
information are done by the hotel. This is done by accessing your hotel records
in the central reservation system through our secure server and making the changes
as required.
Please note:
HOL's primary service is to provide the technology which enables hotels to offer
online reservations.
It is the hotels responsibility to input their room availability and rates into
the HOL reservation system.
Reservations/ booking contracts are between the person making the reservation and
the hotel and not with Hotels Online.
HOL do not take any responsibility for the standards of accommodation or the service
provided by each property. This website offers a worldwide range of properties of
different standards and these are not checked or recommended by HOL.
