New enquiry auto-responder for HomeAway & OwnersDirect

Today we went live with a new feature most relevant to our serviced-apartment and self-catering accommodation providers, an intelligent auto-responder for availability enquiries!

These portals at present are not full-blown reservation channels, meaning that no real-time availability search or actual reservations are taken by each respective web portal. Only the minimal amount of information is requested from each inquiring prospective guest and then that information is simply fired off via email to the hotelier or handling agent - this means lots of laborious emailing customers to and fro to close those bookings.

The new HOL feature will take these details from the email, conduct a number of availability queries for the hoteliers products, then auto-respond with prices and availability information within seconds of the original email being sent. This rapid speed of reply is especially very helpful if, like many hoteliers and self-catering owners, you're on the road all day long with limited access to the Internet - this way there is no delay in the maximum number of boxes "being ticked" in terms of retaining those elusive guests.

Note this feature is only available to customers who are using a HOL-managed Google Apps account, prospective new customers should get in touch with HOL Support if they wish to learn more and benefit from this feature.
