    This Hotel was recommended by colleagues and lived up to its reputation. Check in and out was simple and useful. The Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, well presented and comfortable. The Food was well cooked, varied and well served. I did not make full use of the facilities because of the time of year. It is nice to find a hotel that doesn't lower its standards in the off season. I would definitely stay here again.

General Information

The Peninsula Hotel, Guernsey, is the most recently built of all Guernsey's hotels and is ideally situated on a sandy beach on the north-west coast of the Island.

The name Peninsula stems from the location of the Hotel on a small peninsula with a wonderful view over Grand Havre Bay from the front of the hotel and one of Guernsey's most sheltered beaches at the end of 5 acres of gardens.

The Peninsula Hotel is ideally suited for family holidays, restful short breaks, meetings and conferences as well as wedding receptions and banqueting. With its 99 en-suite bedrooms and flexible banqueting and conference facilities, the Peninsula Hotel can cater for all your requirements.

Accommodation at Peninsula Hotel, Guernsey

The Peninsula Hotel, Guernsey, has 99 en-suite bedrooms all equipped with satellite television, hair dryer, direct-dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Each bedroom has a single and a double bed with en-suite bathroom and separate toilet. We also have 7 sets of interconnecting rooms as well as some family rooms which can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. All our bedrooms are non-smoking rooms and 32 of them have views over Grand Havre Bay. 25 of our bedrooms are on the ground floor and the hotel has a lift to the other 2 floors.

Rooms with wheelchair access

2 of our ground floor rooms have wheelchair access and are category 3 disabled bedrooms. The hotel has wheelchair access throughout with car parking for disabled guests at the front door.

Restaurant at Peninsula Hotel, Guernsey

The Peninsula Hotel, Guernsey, offers a choice of dining possibilities. Our Sarnia Restaurant proposes an a la carte menu as well as a table d'hote menu which changes daily. This menu is based on selected fresh produce with the accent on local fish and seafood. Our Rendez-vous Bar provides a wide range of lunches with a selection of daily specials.

The bar dinner menu is also extensive for those who require a lighter evening meal. In Summer, lunches are also served by the pool where you can enjoy your meal and have a swim or just lounge in the sun.

The Peninsula Hotel also has extensive banqueting facilities and menus suitable for finger buffets, wedding receptions, quiz evenings and formal dinners can be obtained on request. Breakfast 07.00 - 10.00 Lunch 12.00 - 14.00 Dinner 18.30 - 21.00

    We have visited Guernsey on many occasions and this was our second stay at the Peninsula Hotel. Everything went according to plan. Friendly and helpful staff, good food and comfortable and clean rooms. Slightly expensive, but this is Guernsey!

    A good hotel, with an attractive coastal location. First class service on reception and in restaurant. Enjoyed the breakfasts (had lunches when out elsewhere on island). Room slightly too warm at night, but it was a hot spell.

    The rooms are clean and well presented and the breakfast is very good plus friendly staff I have been going to this hotel for 15 yrs because my daughter lives nearby .The problem on this visit was the lack of water in the bedroom and by Sunday none at all .I told reception and was moved that morning or rather i moved myself to another room for access to water supply .Apart from that i would rate it higher than 3 star i normally say 4 or 5 is fairer

    been to peninsula several times before and will go again, i had only i problem the bath. as a elderly person i found it very difficult getting out of the bath due to the slippery base

    Third time staying here, couldn't land on the first day, returned to Southampton die to bad weather but hotel didn't charge me the fee, very clean room, staff friendly, no gripes apart from maybe not having decent bread for toast at breakfast,

    First visit to this hotel, great venue, friendly staff and great food. The rooms are big and well kept, the showers are pumped and powerful. I will return to this hotel as a business user.

    Very nice hotel with exceptional staff and a magnificent breakfast. My only small complaint was the bath/shower which was very high to get into and the shower had only one pressure setting, which was high.

    A good hotel with a fabulous restaurant and great staff throughout - rooms are slightly tired looking but extremely clean, the shower and bed comfort were the only complaints I had as there was very limited water coming out of the shower and the bed was quite unsupportive in the middle. I would look forward to staying here again as it represented great value and as said before the staff are truly wonderful !! :o) Thanks

    Good size rooms, modern bathrooms, all very clean and well presented. Restaurant is very reasonably priced as are the bar meals, food and service are very good. The hotel is cheaper than town centre hotels in St Peter Port, probably because of its location, but it is close to where I work when I'm in Guernsey so is ideal for the one night stays when on business.

    I've stayed at the Peninsula several times, always on business. Rooms are very good and spotlessly clean, although providing an iron and ironing board would improve things rather than having to use the communal laundry room. Quality of the food is very good, especially the breakfast. The only thing that lets the Peninsula down is the variability of the wi-fi signal - it is excellent in some rooms, and non-existent in others, and being on business a wifi link is very important.

    We enjoyed a 4 night stay at the Peninsula hotel and found the staff friendly, the room clean and the food excellent. The restaurant food was served extremely quickly which was nice, and although good felt a little preprepared. The portion of vegetables with the main course was also very small (or non existant in the case of one of the dishes). We ate in the bar for the following two evenings and found the food, particularly the salads, to be fresh, tasty and decent size portions. We did however avoid the bar on our final evening as there was live music playing in the hotel loby. I'm sure this was appreciated by some but the loby, bar and restaurant are open plan and it was a little loud to eat by for our taste! The hotel pool was warm and quiet and the hotel location is great for the beaches.

    We travelled to surprise our cousin who lives in the Vale Guernsey rang him on our arrival & he joined us for a superb meal The food at the hotel is excellent the staff very helpful

CANCELLATION TERMS

In the event of a cancellation of your booking proior to your arrival date the Hotel will appl the following charges:

  • 29-42 days - 30% of total stay or deposit if greater.
  • 14-28 days - 45% of total stay or deposit if greater.
  • 8-14 days - 60% of total stay or deposit if greater.
  • 3-7 days - 75% of total stay or deposit if greater.
  • 2 days or less - 100% of total stay.
  • No shows - 100% of total stay.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

It is strongly recommended that adequate Travel Insurance is taken out to guard against any costs arising from cancellation, late arrival, early departure or due to Guernsey and UK having no reciprocal health agreement in place at this time.
